# $NPX Tokenomics

***

The **$NPX** token (Nerve Protocol Token) is the native utility asset of the **Nerve Protocol** platform. It fuels encrypted workflows, incentivizes node operators, and coordinates autonomous agents across the enclave mesh without forcing operators to sacrifice privacy.

#### **Core Features of $NPX Token**

1. **Utility Token (ERC-20 on Ethereum):**

* $NPX serves as the primary medium of exchange within the Nerve Protocol platform, enabling users to pay for AI services, data access, and computational resources.
* $NPX unlocks premium features, advanced automation packs, and high-priority mission scheduling.
* Mission creators can stake $NPX to prioritize jobs within the scheduler or reserve dedicated enclave capacity.

2. **Incentivization:**

* **Participation Rewards:** $NPX may be distributed as rewards for validated work — data processing, model training, mission fulfillment, and Enclave Integrity Monitor-approved agent services.
* **Integrity Monitor Incentives:** Enclave Integrity Monitor operators earn $NPX for maintaining mission integrity, detecting anomalies, and publishing verifiable zero-knowledge compliance proofs.

3. **Economic Layer:**

* $NPX enables transactions between users and AI agents, facilitating payments for AI-powered services, data ingestion, LLM inference, and privacy-preserving automations.
* Operators can purchase computational resources—TEE node capacity, dedicated enclave clusters, and bandwidth—using $NPX.
* Autonomous executors post refundable $NPX bonds to guarantee mission completion, even when the operator is offline.

#### Network Policy

* **Network**: Launching on **Ethereum** as an **ERC-20** token for high throughput and low-latency settlement.
* **Launch Platform**: Exact launch venue will be announced via the Nerve Console and official channels; whitelist and fair-launch parameters are designed for operator accessibility.
* **Privacy Alignment**: Smart contracts are designed with minimal metadata exposure; settlement references mission hashes instead of plain-text identifiers.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.nerve-protocol.com/tokenomics/npx-tokenomics.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
